May 10th: We did it before and we're doing it again. Ladies Night! Ladies Bowl Free! Friday Nights between 9:00pm and 11:00 pm. Call your friends and come on down and strike up a good time.

May 1st: Spring No Tap League starts this Wednesday @ 7:00 pm (2 player teams) (4 games / night) Good for families!

Open to anyone over the age of 10 accompanied by an adult.
Runs for 10 weeks. Registration is $10.00 and Lineage / prize money $14.00/week

April 29th: Congratulations Larry Cross! Top Bowler @ The Pacific Coast Seniors Tounament held today @ Brechan Lanes  Larry Bowled a 318 average for 8 games. Way to go Larry!

April 25th: Last week of League Bowling.... We hope everyone had a great year and that your averages may have gone up a bit. We will be having the bowling banquet on May 5th upstairs @ The Rainbow Room. Tickets can be purchased @ Rainbow Lanes and are $22.00. Catering will be provided by Daves Catering.

March 25: Larry Cross wins Hi Singles at the Vancouver Island Championships held @ North Island Lanes. Bowling for Rainbow Lanes Larry finished with a 245 average. Way to go Larry!

March 18th: Congratulations to our YBC Bowlers that competed today in Duncan. We are very proud of you all. Rainbow Lanes took three out of nine awards. Gold medal went to Dawson Moore and Sarah Matthews. Silver medal went to Derek Smith and Mckenzie Matthews and Bronze went to Avery Lessard and Andi Payne. Way to go you guys!

March 4th: Cooper Smith Takes Gold! Port Alberni's own Cooper Smith Bowling out of Rainbow Lanes is the Top Bowler in British Columbia in his age group 10 and under. Cooper has been Bowling in our YBC program for 4 years. Cooper will be heading to St. John's, Newfoundland May 6th to compete for the top spot in Canada. Way to go Cooper!

March 3rd: 10 year old Cooper Smith a YBC Bowler @ Rainbow Lanes is Bowling in the Provincial Championships today in Langley @ 11:00.

Feb 7th:  YBC Zone Championships this Sunday February 12th, 10:00 am @ Rainbow Lanes. Come out and cheer on our Port Alberni youth Bowlers.

Jan 17th: The following bowlers will be representing Rainbow Lanes in the 26th Annual Vancouver Island Championships to be held @ North Island Lanes March 23rd:

Jan 15th: Vancouver Island Championship Tryouts today. The teams will be announced! Good Luck.

Jan 8th: YBC Starts up again today and is a good time for any new bowlers to sign up. It's a lot of fun and we're offering a 2 day free trial for new bowlers. Cost is $10.00/week for 3 games roughly 2 hours and runs for 14 weeks. Open to ages 5 - 18 years. Practice starts at 3:15

Sunday Nov 27th: Congratulations to the Rainbow Lanes YBC Team: Mckenzie Matthews, Spencer Hamelin, Kasandra Bouvier and Shawn Smith on achieving a Silver Medal Award at the Zone Finals in Nanaimo for the youth games. Way to go!

Nov 6th: Starting Monday Nov 7th @ 9:30am we will be providing a Drop In Bowl Session that will run 20 weeks. The cost will be $10/week for 3 games or you can purchase a 20 week membership for $120.00 which works out to $6.00/week. This Drop in session is designed for all bowlers 19 and over to help improve your game.

Oct 29th: Today we say goodbye to our good friend and president. He will be missed. Rest in Peace John Miller.

Oct 5th: YBC Bring A Buddy Tournement Sunday Oct 16th @ 1:00pm. $10.00 covers you and your buddy 2 games of bowling, hot dogs and pop and lots of prizes.

Sept 21st: Ken Smith Bowls a 373 single. Great game Ken.

Sept 19th: Wow! Kasandra Bouvier, one of our YBC Bowlers and only 11 years old Bowled a 561 Triple today. Her first game was 160 then a 191 and her final game was 210. Congratulations Kasandra.

Sept 15th: The Sunshine Club will be joining us for free bowling every Monday morning at 9:00am for the month of October. We are trying to start a new league and this offer is for anyone over the age of 55.
